How does an engagement usually start?

With a 45-minute call about the problem rather than the solution. If it looks like a fit, we send a short written plan covering scope, sequencing, an indicative timeline band and cost. Nothing is billed before that plan is agreed.

Do you work with our in-house engineers?

Usually, yes. Most engagements are a small Exortix pod working alongside your team in the same repository and the same rituals. Where a team is being built, we plan for handover from the first week rather than the last.

Who owns the code and the infrastructure?

You do. Work happens in your repository, your cloud accounts and your pipelines wherever possible. There is no proprietary layer you would need to keep paying for once the engagement ends.

Can you take on a project that is already in trouble?

Often. Recovery work starts with a short assessment to separate what can be stabilised from what should be replaced, so you get an honest picture before committing to a plan.

About the name

A coined name for the moment something emerges

Exortix is invented rather than borrowed. It was chosen for two associations: emergence — the point where an idea first becomes real — and advancement, the steady movement that follows.

That is a fair description of the work. Most of what we are asked to do sits between a possibility somebody can already picture and a system that genuinely runs. The name is short, pronounceable in most languages and unencumbered by an existing meaning, which leaves the work to define it.
